AirJaldi Networks was created in 2009

Our work is inspired by the earlier initiatives of a group of social entrepreneurs based in northern India who were developing sustainable models for rural broadband internet networks.

We are registered in India as Rural Broadband Pvt. Ltd. The activities of our network brand, AirJaldi Networks, are carried out from our management office in Delhi and our main operations office in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh. 

AirJaldi Networks owns and operates networks in the Kangra valley, Himachal Pradesh, Tehri Garhwal and Kumaon Districts in Uttarakhand, and Ranchi District, Jharkhand. We manage smaller network-related services and applications near Bangalore, Karnataka. AirJaldi’s networks will soon be expanding to rural regions of Bihar and other states in the northern and eastern parts of India.
 
AirJaldi Networks supports the work of AirJaldi Research and Innovation (airjaldi.org), a non-profit (Section 25) company which performs applied research (with the results openly available to all), provides networking and IT training courses to the public and hosts conferences.
